HOLISTIC MYSTICAL YOGA

NOT JUST AN POSTURE PRACTICE; A RICH MIX OF BREATH, SOUND, MOVEMENT, MYTH AND PHILOSOPHY

HOLISTIC YOGA FOR EMBODIED MYSTICAL CONNECTION

Modern life trains us to live from the neck up. We rush, cope, dissociate, produce, eat/sleep/repeat. I know I have (and do!)

Modern yoga practice at worst becomes an exercise modality with the same overexertion and performing. At best its promoted as a means of escape from the world.

In my classes, we blend movement and breath with yogic philosophy, meditation and sound to help you connect with your body and spirit in real and grounded ways. We practice showing up to ourselves and the world with compassion. We take it reallll slow. My approach is holistic and as culturally respectful as possible — you’ll learn Sanskrit terms and mantras and we’ll keep our practice close to its origins.

As a lifelong artist and myth-maker, a dancer since the age of 4, a practitioner of yoga since 2010, and a qualified teacher since 2019, I’ve learned that yoga practice isn’t about perfection. It’s not about your physical flexibility or your body type (despite what teachers in the west and east would have you believe). And it’s not about chasing a quick hit of inner peace.

Here, it’s about presence with the fullness of the human condition and in making meaning out of your self. Most of all, I hope that you can leave my class with the skills to show up with an open heart off the mat, and to be able to be patiently present with the suffering and injustices in today’s world, and divinely activated to serve it in your unique way.

BOOK A YOGA CLASS

My yoga classes are thoughtfully-designed flows, accessible to all levels and suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. My classes are not just about exercising. I aim to share with you the fullness of the yoga practice, honouring the lineage of teachers and seers that discovered the yoga practice through their own connection to the divine. I hope to see you on the mat soon!
