Reconnect with your body and breath at one of my weekly yoga classes at the yoga shala at Sona Retreat — a bright, airy and cosy space nestled on a quiet country road on the wild and beautiful Sheep’s Head Peninsula in West Cork, Ireland.
The shala is a calm welcoming environment for locals and visitors looking to experience authentic yoga and wellbeing practices in West Cork. We’re conveniently located for anyone visitng Kilcrohane, the Sheep’s Head Peninsula, Bantry, Durrus, Ahakista, Ballydehob, Schull.
My yoga classes are designed to support the wellbeing of all layers of you: your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness. I like to offer a rich combination of movement (asana), breath (pranayama), meditation (dhyāna) and yogic philosophy (darshana). Whether you are completely new to yoga or a long-time practitioner or returning after some time away, you are welcome at these classes!
Choose between uplifting morning vinyasa yoga or grounding evening hatha practice. All are suitable for all levels of yoga practitioner; I offer options and modifications throughout, and I invite you to always move at your own pace and take breaks where needed. For something even more gentle, join me for pop-up restorative yoga and yoga nidra around the new and full moons.
Spaces are limited to maintain an intimate and supportive atmosphere, so early booking is recommended.

You might be new to yoga and want to build your confidence before joining a group class. You may have specific health concerns that would benefit from personalised guidance. Or perhaps you're an experienced practitioner looking to deepen and advance your practice. Whatever your reason (or if you simply fancy a more one-to-one experience), I'd love to support you through a series of customised sessions.
In our private sessions, we'll explore your intentions and needs, taking into account your personal history of physical and mental wellbeing. Together, we'll create a practice that supports what you most want to cultivate.

Hi! I’m Karen Olivia, and I am a yoga teacher, astrologer, and retreat host and I love to create spaces for self-discovery and transformation.
I have been a yoga practitioner for close to 15 years, and a teacher since 2019. I’ve completed years of study in yoga, breathwork, meditation, and tantric philosophy and I love to share these practices for not only wellbeing, but also for connection to your inner source of wisdom.
